CRAVING THE BIG CITY? THE METRO TOWER FROM ATLANTIC INC. HOLDS DVDS IN A SLEEK SKYSCRAPER DESIGN
Atlantic Goes '80s Retro, Updates One of its Original Products to Hold DVDs
LAS VEGAS (Jan. 9, 2003) - Take DVDs uptown with the Metro Tower from Atlantic Inc., the leading manufacturer and distributor of media storage products. First introduced by Atlantic in the late '80s as music CDs were gaining in popularity, the Metro Tower has been reintroduced for the 21st century to hold DVDs. The metallic, titanium-colored Metro Tower measures 5 feet tall and resembles a Manhattan skyscraper.
"The Metro Tower was very successful when we first introduced it for CDs in the late '80s," said James Dardashti, Vice President and General Counsel, Atlantic Inc. "The idea of collecting numerous CDs was just beginning to gain popularity and Atlantic was at the forefront of that consumer trend. Now Atlantic is at it again with the reintroduction of the Metro, which has been redesigned to store DVDs. Since DVDs have now become the hot item to collect, we liked the idea of providing a fun, retro-inspired way to store them."
Offered in its original metallic titanium color, the Metro Tower is constructed of a high quality sheet metal for durability and long-life. The Tower can hold approximately 50 DVDs and provides a stunning visual design element for any room.
Retailing for $49.99, the Metro Tower measures 60 inches high, 15 inches wide and 11 inches deep. Atlantic's Metro Tower will be available in Spring 2003 at consumer electronics stores and mass merchant retailers nationwide.
